Bus lane restrictions vary and a sign at the start of the lane will specify the restrictions. There are a few lanes under a pilot study in London which riders can use. The rest are marshalled by static site cameras which are permanent video recorders, plus there are traffic monitoring cameras. These have swivels and amazing zooms and are also used for bus lane enforcement.
Note, there are other methods used to enforce bus lates including Smart Car cameras and bus based cameras.

Shared Use Bay
Shared
Use bay is a mix between residents parking and pay and display. Time
restrictions that apply will be detailed on a plate and the ticket
machine. The concessions typically match the regulation impossed by the
council for Pay & Display & residents parking. However, there
are a few councils that strangely permit free parking in shared bays
but not resident bays. Some bays may be specifically labelled free for
motorcycles. The Borough section within this sites details Borough by
borough rules
Disabled Bay
Not permitted to park in obviously, plus ensure you don't park in the various car park or supermarket bays.

fittings - currently 84 out of 2415 Bike bays in Zone 1 & 2.

Dropped footways either across a driveway or where the kerb has been lowered for pedestrians to cross
Parking in London Parks
Free
parking is available in London Parks in the Pay & Display bays. Be
careful the car park in Regents Park is not free. Park timings are
(subject to special events)
Hyde Park:
Regents Park:
Battersea Park:
5am till midnight
5am till duks

Office Car Parks
There
are opportunities to use some of the available parking space within
various office car parks. Use with caution with increased risk of
terrorism, owners are getting less tolerant. It is always worth checking
if you have a meeting if they can give you access to onsite parking. We
would suggest checking other bikes to see if they have any special
sticker or tag before parking this will indicate that the space is
marshalled, so best not to leave it there.
Royal Palaces or Government Buildings
Do not park outside any Royal Palace or Government building.
Suspended Bays
Sometimes suspended bays indicate that only solo motorcycles are permitted to park.
Gone!
If you think that your bike has been towed or removed you can contact the Tracing Service on 020 7747 4747 if no luck, you will need to call the local police.
