Since
launching in 2002, PIE has built its reputation on helping people find what
they are looking for on maps customised especially for them, both in print and
online.
We produce quality maps that are tailored to the unique needs of specific driving communities. Our team of surveyors work with these communities to research all our content to make sure it is up to date and of value. We design and build new symbols for our maps and colour-code them to reflect important parking rules and regulations. PIE - onlinePIE has a strong technical capability, and has built its own GIS based database for all site and parking related content as well as our latest leading edge interactive map and content overlay tool. Pie's ability to deliver dynamic animation on our maps (for example, bus routes without the need for any plug-ins) is unique in the marketplace. We also have the facility to place overlay content on our maps which is clickable and provides useful functionality. This saves having to re-draw maps as things change. A zoom capability is provided, as is a basic design structure that supports different screen sizes dynamically, so if you have a large screen you get a large map area and if you have a small screen it adjusts. PIE's mainstream online mapping service is called Complete Directions, and it is your 'location page', 'contact us', 'find us' or simply 'map' that never goes out of date. It is initially a clean customised quality map view with selectable content overlay for your visitors to choose based on mode of transport or just local vicinity information. Selectable content includes: parking locations on and off-street for motorcycles, cars, coaches and disabled drivers; taxi rank locations; car park cost calculator; bus routes and bus stop locations and bicycle routes and lock-up locations.
